METHOD 1     External DAC

METHOD 2      Built-in DAC

Amplifier / Receiver without built-in DAC.  This setup requires a external DAC device.  If your amplifier does not have one already built-in,  you can use a small external DAC for the digital hook-up.

Amplifier / Receiver with built-in DAC.  This setup requires no additional or external DAC device since it is already built into your amplifier.  You can directly connect the digital cable from your TV to the amplifier.
