Here you will find loudspeakers that are speically designed by Lorenzo. These speakers reproduce unique sound characteristics and physics that are not found in conventional loudspeakers. These loudspeakers are all built, shaped and molded by hand using conventional tools and traditional wood working technics and methods, something that is not seen in manufacturing facilities today.

PM-2 Monitor

The P1 is another example on how my knowledge of loudspeaker has evolved over the years.

The Idea

The P1e monitor speaker is the scale down version of the P1. The “e” version (which stands for efficient) was design to offer a high output and performance at a more affordable price. It was originally design as a hyrpbrid pro speaker which later become a hifi speaker that could be used as a monitor for accurate sound reproduction.

This robust speaker was design to reproduce big sound dynamics and detail without being harsh or fatiguing to the ears. Also can be driven with either low or high powered amplifiers

The Result

After numerous trials to achieve powerful sound from a compact monitor speaker, we introduced the P1e. This bookshelf-sized speaker is designed to fit in smaller spaces while delivering impressive sound dynamics whenever you need them.

This loudspeaker is equipped with a sturdy 8” cast frame driver featuring a thick ridge paper cone. It's engineered to deliver impactful deep bass while maintaining clarity and detail. The woofer is directly connected to the amplifier, eliminating the need for a low pass filter. This design choice allows the driver to receive an unaltered full signal response, free from any interference from additional components. The outcome is enhanced sound dynamics and a more engaging musical experience.

The 1.25” poly dome tweeter produces a smooth, detailed sound, making recorded instruments come alive. We've also upgraded the capacitor. Every capacitor and resistor has been meticulously chosen to avoid filtering or degrading the sound characteristics. The end result is a monitor speaker that provides clean, detailed sound at lower volumes while still delivering impressive dynamics at higher levels when required.

We opted for the aluminum cast frame driver to stay true to the traditional design of the P1. This driver comes equipped with a 2” voice coil and a robust magnet structure, enhancing output and sound dynamics. I really appreciate the design and form factor of this driver; its shape offers that classic aesthetic while also simplifying the mounting process.

Looks Can Be Deceiving

Although this driver may appear conventional at first glance, it has the capability to deliver a level of bass typically unseen in woofers of this size. Admittedly, working with this driver can be challenging due to its high QTS, which necessitates a larger cabinet design. However, further testing revealed that we could significantly reduce the cabinet size without compromising performance.t scarifying sound quality!
