INTRODUCTION

The CM-200 is perfect for anyone wanting to experience high-fidelity sound without the high price tag. This speaker reflects how our loudspeaker designs have grown over the years, moving from small, simple sealed models to vented systems that make the most of their design. Compact yet high-end, this monitor speaker fits easily into most small rooms while delivering the big, bold sound you’d expect from much larger speakers.

DESCRIPTION

The CM 200 takes a step away from the traditional 100 series design and totally redesigns the monitor. Gone is the 3/4” soft dome tweeter and the 3/4” thick sealed MDF cabinet.  This time, we have opted for a thinner cabinet that is internally braced to help reduce resonances and improve cabinet rigidity.  This design helps tune the cabinet and driver while increasing internal volume.  

The 5-1/4” woofer remains the same and takes full advantage of the vented for surprisingly deep bass response for its size.  The 3/4” soft dome tweeter has been replaced with a large 1.250” soft dome with neodymium magnet for better power handling and a lower crossover point.

The Results

Due to these modifications and improvements, this loudspeaker now delivers a significant increase in performance and sound quality. The compact monitor offers deeper bass, improved power handling, and a sturdy tweeter for crisp, vibrant highs. It’s capable of producing high-fidelity audio, all at a price that won’t break the bank.
