The CM-300 is a step up from the CM-200 Monitor

INTRODUCTION

This speaker is great for those who are looking to step into the world of high-fidelity sound and near-field monitoring.  This speaker demonstrates how our loudspeaker designs have evolved over the years, progressing from small, simple sealed speaker designs to vented systems that take advantage.  This compact high-end monitor speaker can integrate into most small rooms, but offers big and bold high-fidelity sound comparable to that of larger speakers..

DESCRIPTION

The CM 300 takes a step away from the 100 series tradition with its sealed cabinet design and small footprint, and it completely redesigns the monitor, which later became the CM-200. It has now taken a step further by adding high-performance drivers to create a robust monitor.  Both the tweeter and woofer drivers have been upgraded for better performance and power handling.  The 1.25 soft dome tweeter has been replaced with a 1-1/8" fabric dome tweeter with a lower resonant response for higher power handling and a lower crossover point.  The woofer has been upgraded to a Non-resonant Papyrus fiber cone for a more natural-sounding driver. The CM-300 features the same thin-wall cabinet found in the CM-200, but with a larger tuned port.  By increasing the port diameter, we are able to use a woofer with a higher Xmax for better low-end response.

THE RESULTS

The result of these modifications and updates gives this speaker a greater increase in performance and sound.  This compact monitor is now able to achieve deeper bass response with better power handling, along with its robust tweeter, for more detail and articulating highs. With these combinations of upgrades, the CM-330 becomes a high-performance compact monitor capable of delivering a level of sound that is not usually found in a speaker this size.   This speaker is ideal for those who want high-end sound in small rooms. But at the same time, a speaker that can be used for monitoring as well.
